ARM Basic Functions

The Agency of Material Rezerves of the Republic of Moldova has the following functions:

1 ) management , coordination of activities and the exercise of control over the state material reserves ;

2) building of state material reserves , accumullation, supply (storage ) and maitenance of material goods intended for :

          a) the request of urgent measures for the liquidation of consequences of natural disasters ;

          b ) protection of the population in emergency situations caused by natural disasters , epidemics, epizootics , industrial accidents , social or economic phenomena in other cases of force - majeure;

          c ) intervention operations to ensure stable operation of the national economy in extreme conditions ;

         d ) ensuring the Armed Forces under siege and war , in the state material reserves targeting ;

         e) humanitarian aid state material reserves ;

3) creating mobilization reserves , storage , delivery (storage) and keeping their businesses, organizations and associations, as approved by the Government outreach tasks to contribute to:

         a) organization of production output needed , the armed forces and population in exceptional circumstances, at the siege and war ;

        b ) uninterrupted operation of industrial enterprises , transportation, health care institutions and telecommunication objects in exceptional circumstances, at the siege and war ;

        c ) protection of the population and the armed forces , medical care , in terms of applying the means of mass destruction in the event of an emergency ;

       d ) protection of animals and agricultural plants in terms of applying the means of mass destruction in the event of an emergency ;

       e) deployment in emergency situations and in times of siege and war restoration works of railways , highways , telecommunications lines and facilities and electricity supply systems ;

      f ) humanitarian aid mobilization reserves ;

4) participate , as competence in achieving the policy documents by releasing the material goods of the state material reserves :

          a) the liquidation of consequences of natural disasters caused by exceptional circumstances, and in other cases of force - majeure;

         b ) to assist central and local public authorities for rehabilitation of the various branches of the national economy ;

5 ) providing methodological assistance institutions , enterprises, organizations and local authorities on how and delivery conditions (storage) , storage and release of material goods in the state material reserves .
